These case studies were originally written as a part of the Workforce Systems Sector Strategies Guide*, a document created as a part of the USDOL Employment and Training Administration’s multi-year Sector Strategies Technical Assistance Initiative. They have been separated into individual documents for ease of use.
During the course of ETA’s Sector Strategies Technical Assistance Initiative, the project focused much of its attention to the specific needs voiced by members of workforce systems throughout the country. One of the requests made again and again was for more real-world examples from organizations actually doing the work, which we strove to provide at every applicable opportunity. The case studies listed here highlight some of the most exemplary models of innovative implementation of sector strategies from local, regional and state workforce systems.
